After Marriage, Mother-in-law Disliked Me, Unexpectedly, After Illness, I Saw the Softest Side of a…

The relationship between a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law is inevitable in real life. It’s a mixed bag. Meeting a reasonable mother-in-law is lucky, but dealing with a difficult one can be tough.

A woman once shared her story with me:

I have been married to my husband for 6 years, but since I got married, my mother-in-law has never treated me well. She has traditional thoughts and believes that a woman’s role after marriage is limited to doing laundry and cooking.

Throughout the years of marriage, my mother-in-law has always been critical. Our way of living is different from my husband’s. Sometimes he helps with chores, but my mother-in-law disapproves, feeling I haven’t fulfilled my duties as a wife.

After marrying my husband, we continued living this way. However, my mother-in-law had complaints about me. A few days ago, she fell ill and was hospitalized. With no one to care for her at home, I took care of her alone. Despite her usual attitude towards me, I still felt sorry for her.

Even lying in the hospital bed, my mother-in-law worried about the laundry at home. At that moment, I saw the softest side of a woman. Throughout these years of marriage, my mother-in-law has managed everything at home alone. To be honest, she’s been through a lot. Even when sick, she didn’t neglect her responsibilities.

Women should love themselves more.

Zhang Ailing once said, “For most women, the meaning of love is to be loved.”

In real life, every woman has beautiful expectations for love. Many women sacrifice themselves for love or work tirelessly for their families after marriage.

But love is not wrong. In the process of loving, women should also learn to love themselves. While family is important, if you don’t love yourself, life will be tough. In today’s society, there are more opportunities for women.

When a woman starts loving herself, life truly begins. In a relationship, mutual support is crucial. What does marriage mean to you? Different people have different answers, but marriage should mean mutual support, not holding each other back.

A good marriage makes you a better person. A bad marriage is torment for a woman. Many women sacrifice everything for a family but end up wounded. Loving yourself is not wrong. Only when you love yourself will more people love you.

Marry the right person.

In our lives, we meet various people. When in love, both may be deeply involved. However, with time, few will truly care for you. Marriage is a gamble for a woman. Winning means a happy life, losing means a disaster.

Meeting someone who genuinely cares for you is crucial. Marry someone with good character; a person of good character won’t be too bad. Sweet words from men are nice, but only when a man’s promises are fulfilled, do they hold meaning.

Marry a responsible man, and your married life will be happier. A responsible man will make you feel happier the longer you are together. True love is about a lasting bond, not unrealistic promises.

Love is what every girl yearns for. What we want in life is simply to share meals with someone who makes us smile. As Lin Huiyin said, “Meeting the right person is the greatest luck in life.”

In relationships, marrying a good man means a lifetime of happiness.

Women are truly great because they play many roles in family life. They need to be a good wife to their husbands, a good mother to their children, and a good daughter to their parents.

When a woman is willing to sacrifice for a man, it shows her courage. The power of love is immense; it can make a woman sacrifice her life willingly.

However, many women have been hurt in love. Many women sacrifice for their families, and this behavior is commendable.

Being a woman is not easy. I hope every man cherishes the woman next to them who is willing to give everything for them.
