When You Hit Middle Age, Develop These 5 Habits, Good Fortune Will Stay, How Many Have You Done?

When you hit middle age, you’re in a stage of life where you have older people to care for and young people to raise. You need to take care of your parents and comfort your kids. You’re exhausted every day. How can you take care of others and still be happy?

One of my coworkers has 3 kids. Her two older kids are in middle school, and her youngest is in kindergarten. She’s always worried. That’s not even the hardest part. Her youngest isn’t very healthy and often needs to go to the hospital. Even though her life is full of challenges, she doesn’t let them bring her down. She doesn’t let the stress show on her face. She still gets dressed up every day and lives her life happily. How does she do it?

She’s developed 5 good habits that help her deal with life’s challenges with ease and find happiness.

Love Yourself

Women need to learn to love themselves first. Then someone will love you. If you care too much about other people’s feelings, you’ll set a lot of limits for yourself. Only when you learn to love yourself and live for yourself, and understand your true feelings, will others love you.

When Tang Jing found out that her boyfriend, He Han, was in love with Luo Zijun, she didn’t beg him to stay. Instead, she took off her ring and said to He Han, “The ring is pretty, I can buy it myself, and I’ll take good care of myself.” Tang Jing has her own career and takes care of herself. When faced with betrayal, she didn’t get upset or blame him. She was rational and calm. Since you don’t love me anymore, I won’t force you. I’ll love myself.

We need to learn to love ourselves first. Then we can love others. If we always put others first, think about their feelings first, and wait for them to love us, the result is often the opposite. If you don’t love yourself, how can others love you?

Develop a Hobby

Women need to have their own hobbies. Without hobbies, you’ll spend all day revolving around your husband and children, and you might even be disliked.

My coworker really likes photography. Even though she has a lot going on at home, she still makes time for her passion for photography. She doesn’t let herself get consumed by chores.

Exercise Regularly

Modern women wear many hats. They have to work in the office, and at home, they’re wives, mothers, daughters, and daughters-in-law. Each role comes with responsibility and pressure. To relieve that stress, you need to exercise regularly. Exercise not only relieves stress, but it also improves your mood, makes things easier, and keeps you healthy.

I’m a beneficiary of exercise. When I was a kid, I was very introverted. I didn’t like talking to people. I preferred to stay home alone, let alone exercise. In 2016, I realized I had gained a lot of weight. I decided to change myself.

I wake up every morning at 6 am and exercise for an hour before going to work. After years of consistent exercise, I’ve lost weight. I’m not as easily agitated. Before, if my kids did something wrong, I would yell at them. Now, I can joke around with them, and our home is much more harmonious.

Be Disciplined

Success comes from discipline. If a person doesn’t have a decisive character, he can never be considered an independent person.

Discipline can help us achieve our dreams and make our lives better. Otherwise, if you can’t even manage yourself, and you just go with the flow, why should life treat you well?

Han Xue, a champion, impressed all the judges and audience with her outstanding performance. She won over the audience and judges not only because of her amazing acting skills, but also because of her speaking skills and her expertise. All of this is related to her high level of discipline. Discipline allows her to do things that others can’t, and she lives the way many people aspire to.

She has a strict schedule for everything. For example, she wakes up at 7:30 am, takes 3 minutes to wash up, and 5 minutes to put on makeup. Even if she gets home late at night because of filming, she still wakes up the moment the alarm goes off. She’s been doing this for over a decade without fail.

She learns English every day while making breakfast and talking to her English teacher on the phone. She also often wears headphones and learns English during breaks while filming.

It’s this discipline and hard work that have allowed her to make great progress in English and live the way many people aspire to.

Reflect on Your Day

“Reflection is crucial. Through reflection, we can summarize our experiences and lessons learned. It allows us to think things through, clarify our thoughts, and then continuously improve our shortcomings.”

I have two female friends who work in different companies. They both started with simple jobs. But after 5 years, one friend’s job remained unchanged. She was still doing the same job. On the other hand, the other friend grew like a rocket. She quickly went from a regular employee to a company executive.

We asked her, “You got promoted so quickly. What’s your secret? Share it with us.”

She smiled and told us that she reflects on her day every day and writes a reflection summary every week. After years of doing this, she has summarized her success methods through reflection, reflected on her shortcomings, and made improvements. She’s constantly improving her abilities, allowing her to succeed in her career.

Women, learn to love yourselves and cultivate good habits. Only then will you have the strength to achieve what you want to do and live gracefully.

Dr. Deepak Chopra said, “All the problems in your life stem from not loving yourself enough. The worst thing is that people spend their entire lives without knowing themselves. They waste their entire lives. It doesn’t matter how wealthy or successful you are. Don’t rely on others’ evaluations to take action. Don’t try to please others. Please yourself.”
